Great podcast! Very clear and insightful. Another issue with plants only is that plant foods are not a source of complete proteins. They don't have all the essential amino acids that we need from our diet.
I was on a plant-dominant diet for years (and also low-fat, low-salt) and it really destroyed my health. Gradually adding in more animal products helped me improve many issues.
Though, at some point I was going more to the other extreme and I wasn't getting enough magnesium and potassium. So I'm working on increasing my vegetable intake again. But for now my gut is not healthy enough to handle many fibres. But I'm confident bit by bit it will get better :)
This is something people don't talk about, the deficiencies that can be created by this extreme. Thank you for sharing! With time and attention your body will get where it needs to go :)
