My dad had been on Trulicity to address Type 2 Diabetes and saw amazing results. His appetite was curbed, and he dropped a lot of weight. I am unsure if it stopped working for him or if he just had to go off of it due to health insurance changes, but he has since gained all the weight back (and maybe more).

I would likely be a good candidate for GLP1 medication as I have been overweight my whole life and have a PCOS diagnosis, but my concern is exactly what is mentioned in the podcast - I don’t want to experience “weight loss success” without having learned anything and gain all the weight back. I lost weight doing a strict program like the paleo diet and have gained a lot of the weight back. It SUCKS. No hate to anyone that decides to utilize GLP1 medication, but I would prefer to learn what works for me to be healthy independent of medication.

Thank you for attending my Ted Talk 😂

Lol ted talk! thank you for sharing! It's such a hard convo with these meds in particular because they are magic in a lot of ways, but they can also go from magic to nightmare very quickly. And i think we fail people because we give them the drug but no skills or tools, and then when the weight comes back we are dealing with a weight issue once more, but not compounded on top of a mental health one. I wish in the conversation the mainstream is having, we were putting more of a focus on that.
