It's the weekend, and that means cocktails and all manner of imbibing... especially if you're spending a summer weekend with me.
But this doesn’t mean your wellness efforts have to fall by the wayside during the best part of the week. As I said in the podcast episode “How To Eat” you don’t have to avoid the things you enjoy; you simply have to do them differently.
The same goes for the weekend.
As a weekend lover, I use Thursday and Friday to get my act together by shopping for and making all the things that will help me uphold my health standards while doing less... because it's the weekend!
I grab ingredients to have quick, easy, satisfying, and healthy meals. And then I make them. I also grab things like olives and jerky, which make for great “I’m running out the door to cocktails and dinner” snacks.
I also make this soup.
Hangover soup is just that, the perfect salve for the day after the night before. Packed with ingredients that support complete liver phase detox, calm any digestive issues that may arise, and taste so satisfying and delicious, especially when you’re feeling tender.
Bone broth, beef, veggies, all loved up in a savoury broth, is what slow and tender Saturday mornings are made of!
Happy Friday… enjoy the recipe!
